Welamukotuk Early Learning Centre
OUR MANDATE
Welamukotuk Early Learning Centre is a family-based early intervention program available to children identified as being particularly able to benefit from additional environmental support. Environment in this context refers to the emotional, social and developmental well-being of the child.
OUR GOAL
We are committed to providing exceptional care, respect and kindness to children between the ages 2 to 5 years from the Oromocto First Nation Community. We believe that providing an age-appropriate play-based program that meets diverse needs helps us reach our goal of instilling a sense of pride and self-esteem in all our children.
OUR PHILOSOPY
Welamukotuk Early Learning Centre is based on the High/Scope Approach which views the children as “active learners”. By being in a group setting that fosters their spiritual, intellectual, social and emotional development our children gain experience that helps them grow as individuals. Our goal is to help children develop to their fullest possible potential in a secure, play-centered learning environment.
